The minimum NVIDIA example has 6 GB VRAM, while the minimum AMD example has 8 GB. Recommended examples list 8 GB and 12 GB respectively. This does not establish a universal VRAM requirement for every texture, resolution, or ray-tracing choice; it describes the complete published hardware profiles.
If your GPU is near minimum, begin with the stated 1080p/30/upscaling expectation. If it is near recommended, begin with 1440p/60/upscaling without assuming ray tracing. S-GAME announces ray tracing and DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation separately, and their performance cost or hardware availability is not represented by the simple recommended label.
Plan RAM and storage
Both profiles list 16 GB RAM. Close memory-heavy background tasks if your system has exactly that amount, but do not use memory-cleaning software that adds instability. Check actual committed memory and paging during play once the game ships.
An SSD is required, while capacity is not published in the cited requirements. Do not rely on an unofficial download-size snippet for purchasing storage. Steam may need room for the compressed download, unpacking, patches, shader data, and save/config files. Wait for the library install dialog to provide the actionable number.

Upgrade decision order
Do not replace hardware from one component comparison alone.
