Phantom Blade Zero Release Date

Phantom Blade Zero releases October 28, 2026 on the US Steam store; use this guide to interpret regional dates and unannounced unlock timing.

Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled for October 28, 2026 on the US Steam store. The official international website displays October 29, 2026, which is consistent with the same release window appearing on the next calendar day in Asian time zones. Neither page currently gives a universal Steam unlock timestamp, so a precise hour or countdown would be premature.

Which date should you use?

Use the date shown by Steam while signed into the account and region where you will play. Steam can render a store date according to regional publishing choices, while the official site can choose a headline date for its global audience. The two displayed dates do not establish a delay or two separate versions.

For work leave, streaming plans, or a group watch party, wait until the Steam library displays an unlock countdown. A countdown inside the client is more actionable than converting October 28 at an arbitrary time. If no countdown appears, plan around the day rather than a specific hour and leave time for download, unpacking, shader work, and first-run settings.

The creative director’s July letter says the launch moved from September 9 to October 29 in Beijing time. That is primary confirmation of a schedule change. Old articles or saved posts that still show September 9 should not be used for planning.

Preload and download planning

S-GAME has not published a Steam preload start, final download size, or unpacked installation size. The system-requirements page requires an SSD but does not list storage capacity. Keep more free space than a guessed compressed download would need, because Steam can require additional working room during unpacking and patching.

If preloading becomes available, the Steam client will expose a preload button on the base game in your library. Confirm that the library entry is Phantom Blade Zero AppID 4115450. A soundtrack, future demo, or other associated product would have a separate entry and would not preload the retail executable on your behalf.

Platform and edition timing

Both Steam purchase packages point to the same base game, so Standard and Deluxe buyers should expect the same base-game release schedule unless the store explicitly adds an early-access entitlement. The current official descriptions do not promise early access for the Deluxe package. Do not infer a head start from the higher price or bonus list.

This page covers Windows PC through Steam. A PlayStation promotional date can corroborate the global launch, but platform-specific preload and unlock behavior can differ. Console preload notices should not be applied to Steam until Valve’s client or the Steam store confirms them.

A practical launch-day checklist

  1. Reopen the Steam page and confirm the displayed date for your account.
  2. Compare your PC with the official system requirements, including the upscaling assumptions behind the target frame rates.
  3. Update the GPU driver only if the vendor offers a relevant game-ready release and your current system is stable.
  4. Make SSD space for the game plus installation overhead; do not use an unsourced size estimate as a hard limit.
  5. After download, set graphics and controller options before judging combat timing.
  6. Keep the first session spoiler-light by using the combat basics instead of a late-game route video.

What would change this page

An official unlock timestamp, regional rollout schedule, preload announcement, storage figure, or further delay would materially change launch planning. When those appear, the Steam client and S-GAME news archive should take priority over cached search snippets. The Updates hub keeps dated announcements together so you can distinguish the latest official status from older promotional milestones.
